Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CORRECTION TEMPERING ROLLING PART
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1996/006194
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for correction tempering a rolling part, in which the thermal treatment deformation of a steel rolling part is corrected in a very short period of time by utilizing the plasticity thereof occurring during the progress of variation of metallographic structure due to the low-temperature tempering of the same part. A rolling part (1A) which has been quenched is placed in correction molds (2, 3) and thermally pressurized at a maximum arrival temperature of 250-500 C by a heating means. Thus, the deformation of the part is corrected at a processing rate within the range in which this part remains in its elasticity region at room temperature. When the part is heated, a high-frequency induction heating means can also be used besides a heat transfer heating means. A product requiring a correction time of within 6 minutes, or not more than 30 seconds when a high-frequency induction heating means is used, and having an inner and outer diameter deviation correction rate of not less than 60 %, a dimension uniformity rate of not less than 30 %, a surface roughness Ra of less than 0.2 'mu'm and a surface hardness HRC of not less than 56 is obtained.
