Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for counting the number of steps. The method comprises: S100, acquiring acceleration data of a user; S200, generating an acceleration curve according to the acceleration data, and obtaining a user acceleration period; S300, matching the user acceleration period with all pre-set acceleration periods so as to obtain a target pre-set acceleration period; S400, carrying out a differential operation on the acceleration curve so as to obtain a target extreme point; and S500, according to the target extreme point and the target pre-set acceleration period, counting the number of differential values equal to a pre-set value, and outputting the number as the number of counted steps. According to the present invention, by making full use of the periodicity in a motion process of a person, the number of steps in the motion process can be more accurately calculated.
