Abstract:
A method and an apparatus (20) for cutting a battery plate (23) are provided, the method comprising: determining a current cutting region of the battery plate (23); and adjusting cutting parameters of a laser generator (21) according to the current cutting region of the battery plate (23), such that the cutting parameter of the laser generator (21) for cutting a battery tab (31) is different from the cutting parameter of the laser generator (21) for cutting a gap portion. The current cutting region of the battery plate (23) is determined by the cutting apparatus (20) of the battery plate (23), and the cutting parameters of the laser generator (21) are adjusted according to the current cutting region of the battery plate (23), such that the cutting parameter of the laser generator (21) for cutting the battery tab (31) is different from the cutting parameter of the laser generator (21) for cutting the gap portion. The method and the apparatus for cutting the battery plate can prevent the laser from failing to cut the battery tab (31) from the battery plate (23) as a result of the laser energy received per unit length of the outline of the battery tab (31) being less than the laser energy received per unit length of the gap portion, and can prevent burrs from occurring, and thereby improve the performance of a cell.
