Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING KNIT/WOVEN FIBERS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/1986/000347
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The brightness of knit/woven fibers in a direction crossing at right angles the moving direction of the moving knit/woven fibers is converted to electric pulse signals by radiating light from a light source through an optical magnifier and a photodetector, and the pulse signals are counted. Texture pitches are memorized, and are multiplied by the number of signals of a counter using an operation circuit in order to calculate the moving distance of the fibers. This invention relates also to a method and apparatus for detecting knit/woven fibers which can detect not only the moving distance but also the existence of the knit/woven fiber.
