Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for detecting a datum of lock hole and hinge slot machining equipment. The method comprises the following steps: place a workpiece to be machined (5) on a worktable (32) of lock hole and hinge slot machining equipment (3); provide a sensing probe (6), connected to a numerical control device (7) on the lock hole and hinge slot machining equipment, on a numerical control moving axis mechanism (4) near an end (52) of said workpiece; the numerical control device controls the numerical control moving axis mechanism to move to the end of said workpiece; and when the numerical control moving axis mechanism moves to a position where the sensing probe senses said workpiece, the sensing probe sends a signal to control the numerical control device to set the position as a machining datum. By sensing the position of the end of said workpiece by the sensing probe and using the position as the machining datum, the error in the determination of the machining datum by measuring the length of said workpiece by a measuring device can be avoided.
