Abstract:
Disclosed by the embodiments of the present invention are a method, apparatus, and device for reducing the power consumption of a terminal, said method comprising: a terminal device sending power saving indication information used for indicating its power saving capability to an access device; the access device, after receiving the power saving indication information, when the terminal device is idle, determines the sleep mode of the terminal device according to the power saving indication information; further, the access device sends a sleep signal to the terminal device to instruct the terminal device to enter a sleep mode. In the method provided by the embodiments of the present application, the terminal device can report its power saving capability to the access device, and further, the access device can adaptively select an appropriate sleep mode on the basis of the power saving capability of the terminal device, so as to adaptively reduce the power consumption of the terminal device.
