Abstract:

A method and apparatus for displaying a view control, which relate to the field of electronic devices. The method can be applied to a terminal device, and the terminal device comprises a first engine, a first component and a second engine. The method comprises: a first engine determining a plugin attribute of a view control corresponding to a first application, and a front-end DOM node corresponding to the view control; a first component determining, according to the front-end DOM node, layout information corresponding to the view control; creating, according to the plugin attribute, a third-party plugin and texture data corresponding to the view control, and registering the texture data in a GPU; the first component sending the layout information to a second engine; the first component displaying the texture data according to the third-party plugin; and the second engine acquiring the texture data from the GPU, and rendering the texture data according to the layout information. By means of the method, a terminal device can display various different view controls, thereby having universality for different view controls.
