Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising: at least one transceiver, at least one processor operably coupled to the at least one transceiver, wherein the at least one processor is configured to: receive configuration information including multiple transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states; receive a beam indication indicating a TCI state from the multiple TCI states; identify a beam based on the beam indication; and transmit an uplink (UL) data via the identified beam.
