Abstract:
This invention provides a killing method, a killing auxiliary agent, and a killing apparatus, wherein, in precoating a filter aid onto an electrically conductive cylindrical hollow filter element for filtration, the function of electrifying the cylindrical hollow filter element to kill organisms in a liquid is added, and organisms in shipping ballast water are killed to bring the organism level to a level which satisfies the international environmental requirement. In the step of precoating a filter aid onto a cylindrical hollow filter element (1), an electrically conductive material (JX), together with the filter aid (J), is mixed into a filter aid mixed liquid. This can solve a problem involved in the prior art that a high-resistance (high impedance) aid layer is formed on the surface of a filter element and, consequently, the killing current is not increased. As a result, organisms in the liquid can be killed at lower energy with higher efficiency.
