Abstract:

Disclosed is a video decoding apparatus, according to one embodiment, which may comprise: a reception unit for receiving a bitstream regarding an encoded video; a prediction unit for generating a prediction block by changing the distribution of pixel values of previously decoded peripheral reference pixels, and performing intra-prediction for a current block using the peripheral reference pixels of which the distribution has been changed; and a decoding unit for restoring the current block on the basis of residual data obtained from the prediction block and the bitstream.
