Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for processing a video signal comprising the steps of: generating a prediction block for a neighboring block using a recovered reference pixel of the neighboring block, when the neighboring block adjacent to a current block has been intra-coded; determining an improved intra-prediction mode of the neighboring block on the basis of the prediction block, wherein the improved intra-prediction mode indicates a mode which minimizes errors between the prediction block and a recovered neighboring block; generating a prediction mode candidate list for the current block on the basis of the improved intra-prediction mode; selecting an intra-prediction mode for the current block from the prediction mode candidate list; and performing prediction on the current block on the basis of the intra-prediction mode.
