Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatuses of an enhanced mechanism for a radio resource control (RRC) reestablishment procedure. According to an embodiment of the present application, a user equipment (UE) includes a transceiver and a processor coupled to the transceiver; and the processor is configured to: initiate a radio resource control (RRC) reestablishment procedure; transmit an RRC reestablishment request message via the transceiver to a network node via a relay node; start a timer for RRC reestablishment request in response to transmitting the RRC reestablishment request message; and stop the timer for RRC reestablishment request in response to a pre- specified condition associated with reception of a notification message being met.
