Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or pre-5G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate than a 4G communication system such as LTE. A method for measuring a position of a terminal in a wireless communication system provided by the present disclosure comprises the steps of: receiving reference signals by using a first bandwidth from each of a plurality of anchor nodes scheduled, by a network server, to transmit reference signals; inspecting whether a path-overlap occurs between the anchor nodes and the terminal on the basis of the symmetry of a channel impulse response of the received reference signals; transmitting a bandwidth extension request message to the network server when the path-overlap occurs; receiving reference signals from each of the plurality of anchor nodes by using a second bandwidth greater than the first bandwidth, in response to the transmission of the bandwidth extension request message; and generating information necessary to measure the position of the terminal by using the reference signals received using the second bandwidth.
