Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for estimating, on the basis of a pre-stored half-cell SOC-OCV profile, a SOC-OCV profile in which the degradation rate of a secondary battery is reflected. The apparatus for estimating a SOC-OCV profile according to the present invention comprises: a storage unit in which a BOL cathode half-cell SOC-OCV profile and a BOL available cathode area, a BOL anode half-cell SOC-OCV profile and a BOL available anode area, and a BOL full-cell SOC-OCV profile and an overall BOL full-cell capacity are stored; and a control unit for estimating a full-cell SOC-OCV profile in the MOL state. The control unit comprises: an available area determination module configured to calculate, when a secondary battery is in the MOL state, an overall MOL full-cell capacity while the secondary battery is fully charged or fully discharged between a lower limit discharge voltage and an upper limit charge voltage, and determine a MOL available cathode area and a MOL available anode area such that the ratio of the overall MOL full-cell capacity to the overall BOL full-cell capacity is equal to the ratio of the MOL available cathode area to the BOL available cathode area and the ratio of the MOL available anode area to the BOL available anode area respectively; and a profile management module configured to estimate, as a MOL full-cell SOC-OCV profile, a differential profile corresponding to the difference between the cathode half-cell SOC-OCV profile section corresponding to the MOL available cathode area and the anode half-cell SOC-OCV profile section corresponding to the MOL available anode area, and update the BOL full-cell SOC-OCV profile, stored in the storage unit, with the estimated MOL full-cell SOC-OCV profile.
