Abstract:
During the continuous evaporation and liquefaction of a medium, such as ammonia, with the objective of using ambient heat for heating purposes, the medium is conducted in a circuit between a liquefier (5), an evaporator (2) and a heat exchanger (20) using a fan (1). In the evaporator (2), the medium is evaporated into an atmosphere of an inert gas and the mixture of the evaporated medium and inert gas is heated in the heat exchanger (20) in that it absorbs heat from the surroundings. In the liquefier (5), inert gas is separated from the medium/inert gas mixture such that the partial pressure of the medium rises and liquefies the same. Liquefied medium is returned to the evaporator (2) from the liquefier via a pump (13) while exchanging heat with the inflowing cold mixture, and inert gas is returned via a separate line (10). From the liquefier (5), heat is dissipated from the steam chamber (4) of the liquefier (5) via a heat exchanger (21) and used for heating purposes.
