Abstract:

A method enables gypsum/fiber board (10) to be manufactured such that recessed areas (18, 60) are formed on the same face (11) of the cut wallboard (10) on all four edges (14, 15, 16, 17) without interrupting the production line. The system accommodates different lengths of cut wallboard as the lateral cut edge recess forming apparatus (15, 46) is adjustable in width to accommodate different lengths of cut wallboard.
