Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for forming heat insulating foam on a pipe. The present invention provides an apparatus for forming heat insulating foam on the outer surface of a pipe comprising: a foaming means (20) constituted by a tubular body for forming a heat insulating foam (51) on the outer surface of the pipe (50) fed by a feeding roller (41); a transferring means (10) connected to the front end of the foaming means (20) for transferring by force the preliminary granular foam (52) into a foaming chamber (21) such that the preliminary granular foam (52) is filled uniformly on the outer surface of the pipe (50); and an adhesives applying means (30) for applying the adhesives on the outer surface of the pipe (50) in order that the combining force is promoted between the pipe (50) and the preliminary granular foam (52).
