Abstract:
The objective of the present application is to provide a method and apparatus for friend recommendation. The present application implements reverse recommendation of friends in a contacts list by obtaining user information of a first user and indication information of a second user; determining a second user according to the indication information of the second user; and sending the user information of the first user to a recommended users list of the second user. Further, contacts list information of the first user is compared with friends list information of the first user, and a contact in the contacts list and not in the friends list serves as a second user, so as to avoid repeat friend recommendations and thus system resource waste.
