Abstract:
The present application provides a method and apparatus for generating a buffer status report, and a communication system. Te apparatus is applied to a user equipment (UE), and comprises: a first determining unit, which determines a transmission time interval for transmitting a sidelink buffer status report (ProSe BSR); a judging unit, which judges whether there is a remaining configured sidelink grant; a second determining unit, which determines, according to the judging result of the judging unit, a sidelink destination and a buffer size thereof that need to be comprised in the buffer status report; and a generating unit, which generates the buffer status report according to the sidelink destination and the buffer size thereof that are determined by the second determining unit and need to be comprised in the buffer status report. The present application solves the problem that a UE cannot correctly indicate the buffer status of a sidelink in a ProSe BSR when the UE reports the ProSe BSR.
