Abstract:
The present invention relates to a technique for generating random numbers on the basis of a block cipher. A method for generating random numbers on the basis of a block cipher to which white-box cryptography is applied comprises the steps of: generating an internal state that includes a variable and a key used to generate a round key, each of which is externally encoded and used as plain text in a block cipher; performing a counter mode in which a lookup table generated on the basis of the key is applied to the variable, and then internally updating the internal state through an exclusive OR operation with externally encoded input data; and outputting, as random numbers, a result generated by performing the counter mode on the basis of the internally updated internal state.
