Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and an apparatus for handling device roaming in MESH networking. The method comprises: if it is detected that a second routing device or a first terminal device is roaming, sending to other routing devices and a home gateway a notification message indicating that a change occurs in a networking topology, so as to cause the other routing devices and the home gateway to update the locally stored networking topology; obtaining multicast group information of a second terminal device or the first terminal device, the second terminal device being a device that accesses the second routing device; and providing a multicast data stream for the second terminal device or the first terminal device according to the multicast group information, such that the problem in the related art of playback interruption of a set-top box because multicast group information on devices is lost or erroneous due to the roaming of the set-top box or an upper-layer routing device, thereby preventing playback interruption of the set-top box.
