Abstract:
A method for heating a zone of an elongate tubular article (11, 12). A heat resistant, heat transmitting and heat dispersive shroud material (17) is applied to the zone and a hot gas source (37) is applied to the outside of the shroud material (17) to cause heat to be transmitted through the shroud material (17) to the zone.
