Abstract:
The present application discloses a method and an apparatus for image display using privacy masking, pertaining to the field of video surveillance. The method comprises: acquiring an original image to be masked provided by an image collection end and acquiring privacy masking region information of the original image, the privacy masking region information being obtained by performing recognition on the original image or acquired from the image collection end, and indicating a region that needs to be masked in the original image; determining, according to whether privacy de-masking permission information is stored, whether privacy masking needs to be performed on the original image; and when privacy masking needs to be performed on the original image, performing privacy masking on the original information based on the privacy masking region information to obtain a masked image, and displaying the masked image. In this way, the image collection end only needs to provide one original image without having to provide both the original image and a masked image, reducing the costs of storage and transmission, and reducing required storage resources and network resources at the image collection end.
