Abstract:
The present invention provides secondary IPM-based method and apparatus for encoding/decoding an intra-screen prediction mode. The image encoding method according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise: a first determination step for determining whether an intra-screen prediction mode of a current block is included in a first candidate mode set comprising M number (M is a whole number 1 or greater) of candidate modes; a second determination step for optionally determining, on the basis of a first determination result indicating the result of the first determination step, whether an intra-screen prediction mode of the current block is included in a second candidate mode set comprising N number (N is a whole number 1 or greater) of candidate modes; and an intra-screen prediction mode encoding step for encoding an intra-screen prediction mode for the current block on the basis of the first determination result or a second determination result indicating the result of the second determination step.
