Abstract:
The present application relates to a method and an apparatus for indicating paging grouping, for solving the problem of large signaling overheads for an existing paging indication. Said method comprises: a first terminal receiving a first paging indication and a second paging indication sent by a network device, and determining, according to the first paging indication and the second paging indication, whether to receive a paging on a paging occasion of the first terminal, wherein the first paging indication is used to indicate whether a terminal included in each of M sub-groups is paged, and the second paging indication is used to indicate whether a terminal included in each of N sub-groups is paged; wherein the M sub-groups are obtained by grouping a first terminal set according to a first grouping manner, the N sub-groups are obtained by grouping the first terminal set according to a second grouping manner, the first grouping manner being different from the second grouping manner, and the first terminal set comprising the first terminal. The solution of the present application is widely applicable to fields such as communication technology, artificial intelligence, Internet of Vehicles, and smart home networking.
