Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus for information transmission. The method may comprise: a terminal device using a first frequency resource to receive region identification information from a network device; and on the basis of the region identification information, the terminal device using a second frequency resource to perform a region update process or receive system information. By means of the present application, public information may be transmitted on a WUR link, which may not only increase the working time of the terminal device on the WUR link and improve energy saving benefits, but also reduce the access delay of the terminal device. The method provided in the present embodiments may be applied to a communication system, such as 5G or NR, LTE, V2X, D2D, M2M, MTC, Internet of Things, and the like.
