Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application is a method for managing a firmware version of a component of a server. In the method, software and hardware are separately managed; materials of the same hardware specification are purchased and stored by using a consistent general code; virtual management is performed on different firmware versions by means of an extension code; the virtual management does not involve purchasing and inventory; refreshing is carried out only when a customer order is issued and production is needed, so that a goods preparation strategy of a purchaser is completely separated from customization; the hardware of the same specification is executed according to the total demand, without the need for considering the customization requirements of various customers; and when a customer places an order, a customized material with the extension code is selected according to the customer order. The customization requirement is realized during a production test, so that the efficiency of material inventory management and product production and the product yield can be obviously improved, the goods preparation strategy of the purchaser can be improved, and the product production and delivery can be accelerated. In addition, the present application further provides an apparatus for managing a firmware version of a component of a server, and a device and a readable storage medium, and the technical effects thereof correspond to the technical effects of the method mentioned above.
