Abstract:
A head part 3a and a tail part 3b in a glass plate 3 are cut as unnecessary parts from the glass plate 3 on a transfer route for the glass plate 3 and then both of the unnecessary parts 3a and 3b are transferred to a discard region located outside the transfer route and are discarded into the discard region, wherein a common cutting region C in which the cutting of both of the unnecessary parts 3a and 3b is carried out is provided on the transfer route, both of the unnecessary parts 3a and 3b are carried into the cutting region C sequentially along with the transfer of the glass plate 3 and are sequentially cut in the cutting region C, and both of the unnecessary parts 3a and 3b thus cut are transferred to the discard region utilizing a common transfer mechanism 6.
