Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for manufacturing a layered product in which optical film sheets each having a size corresponding to both surfaces of a rectangular liquid crystal panel are layered on both surfaces of the liquid crystal panel by highly accurate positioning. In the present invention, a layered product (6) for an optical display device is manufactured by removing a first optical film sheet (10) and a second optical film sheet (11) that each have a width or length corresponding to the width or length of both surfaces of a rectangular liquid crystal panel (5), from a band-like first carrier film (30) and a band-like second carrier film (31) that continuously support the first optical film sheet (10) and the second optical film sheet (11), and by attaching the first optical film sheet (10) and the second optical film sheet (11) to both surfaces of the rectangular liquid crystal panel (5). In manufacturing of the layered product (6): only two positions of both ends of a longer side of each of the rectangular first optical film sheet and the rectangular the second optical film sheet are detected; both surfaces of the liquid crystal panel respectively corresponding to the optical film sheets are positioned on the basis of information about the both end positions; and the first optical film sheet and the second optical film sheet are respectively removed from the first carrier film and the second carrier film, and are attached to both surfaces of the liquid crystal panel.
