Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for manufacturing microspheres are disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: a liquid containing raw materials is dispersed in the main chamber in the form of microdroplets by using the droplet generating device. The movement of the microdroplets is controlled by the air flow, and the microdroplets are solidified gradually to obtain the microspheres. The microspheres are collected in the trap by blowing gas or liquid. The apparatus comprises: a) the main chamber 1 with insulating layer; b) the liquid supply device comprising at least one nozzle 3; c) the droplet generating device comprising disk 4, power unit such as motor 6 for driving the disk, airflow ring device 5 and tangential airflow device 8; and d) the trap for collecting the microspheres.
