Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire wherein a green tire is formed on the outer surface of a rigid core, the green tire is transported into a vulcanizing mold together with the rigid core, and the vulcanizing mold is closed to form a vulcanization space for holding the green tire gas-tightly, which comprises providing a movable seal being supported by one of the vulcanizing mold and the rigid core and set toward the surface of the other. The method allows the prevention of the formation of an interstice between the vulcanizing mold and the rigid core in the closure of the mold and also the absorption of the change in the shape of the rigid core during vulcanization.
