Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a sandwich component comprises the following steps: providing a plurality of webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4); applying at least one matrix material to the upper face and/or bottom face of at least one of the webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4), matrix material being applied in different ways to at least two of the webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4), and/or matrix material being applied in different ways along the top face and/or bottom face of at least one of the webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4); placing at least one core layer (24) on one of the webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4); and pressing the webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4) and the core layer (24) together in such a way as to obtain the sandwich component. Also disclosed is an apparatus for carrying out said type of method for manufacturing a sandwich component, the apparatus comprising at least one unwinding unit (10, 11, 12, 13) for unwinding webs of material (1, 2, 3, 4) from retaining rolls (5, 6, 7, 8).
