Title:
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASURING BROMATE ION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/190935
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A method for measuring a bromate ion comprises a first step of allowing sample water to pass through an anion exchanger that can adsorb a bromate ion selectively, a second step of allowing a hydrochloric acid solution containing a fluorescent substance of which the fluorescence intensity can change in the co-presence of a bromate ion to pass through the anion exchanger, a third step of measuring the fluorescence intensity of the fluorescent substance contained in the hydrochloric acid solution that has been passed through the anion exchanger, and a fourth step of calculating the bromate ion concentration corresponding to the measured fluorescence intensity using a calibration curve that shows the correspondence relationship between fluorescence intensities of the fluorescent substance and bromate ion concentrations, wherein the third step comprises a substep of calculating a fluorescence intensity at any one case selected from a case in which the excitation wavelength and the fluorescence wavelength are respectively 264 nm and 400 nm, a case in which the excitation wavelength and the fluorescence wavelength are respectively 264 nm and 480 nm, and a case in which the excitation wavelength and the fluorescence wavelength are respectively 300 nm and 400 nm.
