Abstract:
Disclosed are a method and apparatus for merging images. The method comprises: acquiring two images to be merged, wherein the two images have an overlapped region, and at least two candidate fusion regions are divided from the overlapped region; based on an optical flow vector between the two images, determining an optical flow vector mapping error corresponding to each candidate fusion region in the at least two candidate fusion regions; selecting a target fusion region of the two images from the at least two candidate fusion regions according to the optical flow vector mapping error respectively corresponding to the at least two candidate fusion regions; and fusing the two images in the target fusion region so as to obtain a merged image of the two images. The method and apparatus for merging images in the embodiments of the present invention can reduce blurs and ghosts generated due to parallax.
