Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing load re-balancing for the dedicated core network in a wireless communication system is provided. An evolved NodeB (eNB) which supports a dedicated core network receives a mobility management entity group identity (MMEGI) of a first MME pool from a UE which is attached to an MME of the first MME pool, determines whether or not the UE can be redirected to any MME of the first MME pool by using the MMEGI of the first MME pool. If it is determined that the UE cannot be redirected to any MME of the first MME pool, the eNB redirectã„´ the UE to an MME of a second MME pool.
