Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for outputting an audio signal, and a method of adjusting the volume of the audio signal. The present invention includes: (a) determining an output strength of a modulation signal to be output for each frequency band by using a hearing threshold measured by the band of frequencies; and (b) simultaneously outputting the modulation signal and the audio signal. According to the present invention, it is possible to improve hearing by simultaneously outputting the audio and modulation signals. In addition, a user may directly set an optimal output strength of an audio signal for each frequency band of the user by using a visual signal according to a dynamic change in the hearing threshold for each frequency band of the user even while an audio signal, for which the output strength for each frequency band has been already determined, is being heard.
