METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PARTITIONING SD CARD, SD CARD AND TERMINAL DEVICES

The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for partitioning Secure Digital (SD) card, an SD card and terminal devices relating to the field of terminals. The method includes: allocating an administration information partition from the storage area of the SD card, and setting the access attribute of said administration information partition as hidden; dividing the remaining part of the storage area into at least two data partitions, and setting the access attribute of at least one of said data partitions as read-only and that of the other data partitions as fully accessible; taking the size of the fully accessible data partitions as available storage capacity of the SD card for users; storing the partition information of said SD card in the administration information partition, said partition information including the number of the partitions, the size, the initial address and the access attribute of each partition. The present invention also provides the apparatus for partitioning, the SD card and terminal devices. Said method can divide the storage area of the SD card into partitions with different access attributes so as to satisfy various applications and improve convenience of the SD card.
