Abstract:
A method for playing back data includes: displaying, by a browser installed on a client device, a webpage on which a file is embedded; generating, by the browser, a data request upon selection of the file; intercepting, by an auxiliary playing module installed on the client device, the data request; determining, by the auxiliary playing module, whether the data request includes a request for at least one of video and audio data; and sending the data request to the media server without sending the data request to the web server when the auxiliary playing module determines that the data request includes a request for at least one of video and audio data.
