Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for power line communication. In the method, a first node determines a channel state of a channel between a second node and the first node within a communication period, wherein the channel state is used for reflecting the state of a channel capacity; then, the first node can divide a time window within the communication period according to the channel state and determine a modulation coding parameter used during data transmission between the second node and the first node within the divided time window; afterwards, the first node can send, to the second node, information of the divided time window as well as the modulation coding parameter used within the divided time window. By means of the method, dividing a time window based on a change in a channel state can better reflect the actual change of a channel capacity, and the determined modulation coding parameter corresponding to the divided time window is more accurate, such that the transmission rate during data transmission can be improved, and approaches the actual channel capacity as much as possible.
