Abstract:
Various embodiments disclose a method and apparatus for predicting compression quality of an image during image correction (e.g., image quality enhancement) and processing the image on the basis thereof, in an electronic device. The electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a display module; a memory; and a processor, wherein the processor may operate to: display an image through the display module; extract, from the image, a designated plurality of blocks in a designated manner; estimate reliability for each block with respect to the plurality of blocks; identify, on the basis of the estimated reliability, a first block corresponding to an outlier, which is a quality prediction exception target, and a second block capable of predicting quality, from among the plurality of blocks; exclude the first block from among the plurality of blocks from a quality prediction target; and classify compression quality of the image by using the second blocks obtained by excluding the first block from the plurality of blocks.
