Abstract:
A method for processing data on a point cloud according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: identifying auxiliary bits in data on a point cloud; projecting the data on the point cloud, except for the identified auxiliary bits, onto multiple planes; identifying missed points in multiple projection images corresponding to the multiple planes; generating a packed image by packing the multiple projection images; and transmitting a signal generated by encoding second auxiliary bits, which are auxiliary bits other than first auxiliary bits corresponding to the identified missed points among the auxiliary bits, information on the first auxiliary bits, and the packed image.
