Abstract:
A method and apparatus for processing a multimedia file, wherein same relate to the technical field of multimedia, are capable of adjusting a display direction of a multimedia file before displaying the multimedia file on a terminal device, and thus improving the user experience. The method may comprise: a terminal device obtaining a first multimedia file, wherein the first multimedia file comprises an image or a video; and when it is determined that a display direction of the first multimedia file is inconsistent with a first direction, the terminal device adjusting the display direction of the first multimedia file, wherein the display direction of the first multimedia file is a direction perpendicular to a ground direction of the first multimedia file and away from the ground direction of the first multimedia file, and the first direction is a direction preset for a display interface for displaying the first multimedia file.
