Abstract:
The present application provides a method and apparatus for processing a push message. The method comprises: generating a first portrait identifier according to an account identifier of an account that logs in to an APP currently; sending the first portrait identifier and a token of a push system to a server of the APP; receiving the push message from the server by means of a push connection corresponding to the token, the push message comprising a second portrait identifier; and determining a processing mode for the push message according to whether the second portrait identifier is the same as the first portrait identifier. Since the first portrait identifier is information that is generated by a terminal device and stored locally, the terminal device does not need to interact with the server over the network when verifying the second portrait identifier, and does not need to focus on whether the process of the APP is present, so that the processing mode for the push message can be determined in time, and the real-time performance of the push message is improved while privacy information is prevented from being leaked.
