Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a book-like identifying document. The apparatus includes an identifying document feeding means (1) for transporting a plurality of identifying documents therein to a leafing station one by one, an auto-leafing means (2) for turning an identifying document on the leafing station to a data page, an identifying document reader-writer (3) for associating the leafed document with the related data, an inkjet printing means (4) for printing the associated data on the leafed document, a plastic packaging means (5) for packaging the printed document with a counterfeit protecting membrane, an electrical reader-writer (6) for electrically writing in the packaged document, an auto-closing means (7) for closing the written document, and an auto-classifying means (8) for classifying the document. The invention improves the technology level, rate and efficiency for producing the document and the quality of the document.
