A method and apparatus for producing organic fertilizer using organic waste as a raw material. The method and device are capable of producing organic fertilizer having no odor and stable components by a simple apparatus in a short time and at low cost from organic waste including excrement of livestock. The method has a boiling step for boiling organic waste, a drying step for drying the organic waste boiled, and a firing step for firing the organic waste dried. The apparatus is composed of an apparatus body (10) for boiling, drying, and firing organic waste; raw material-feeding means (20) for feeding the organic waste to the apparatus body (10); deodorizing means (40) for removing odor released from the apparatus body (10); and product-discharging means (30) for discharging a product from the apparatus body.
