VISUAL PRESENTATION

INCORPORATIONS BY REFERENCE

This application incorporates by reference the provisional application number 60/605,278 filed August 26, 2004, the patent application number 1 1/213,126 filed August 26, 2005, and the book "Kiai Jitsu Sound Theory: The Interdependence of Phenomena" © 1985-2005 by Song T. Park, the inventor.

TECHNICAL FIELD

[1] This invention relates to wearable infrastructures acoustically providing at least one symbol sequence to biologically active zones of the body including a wrist zone and/or at least one ear and/or at least one eye, and to the symbol coding sequences as program systems directing computers in music/multimedia players to deliver the symbol sequences to transponders kept by the wearable infrastructures.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[2] Contemporary life tends to be hectic, alienating, and often leaving many people without a sense of support in the natural processes of exercise, rest and recuperation. Many, if not most, of us, do not have access to gymnasiums, massages, acupuncture, and other exemplary systems and activities that improve our lives through exercise, rest and recuperation. Even those who do have access, often face substantial expense in using these capabilities. People need inexpensive avenues supporting and/or augmenting exercise, rest and recuperation.

[3] In the United States, there is a large population of people who were born in the late 1940's through the early 1960's. These people were nicknamed the "baby boomers", or now as they age, the "boomers". In 2005, their oldest are turning 60, and in five years, they turn 65. For seven decades, society provided substantial medical and social aid at that age. The projections

are that the boomers will bankrupt the medical and social aid infrastructure by around 2015. Aging individuals will need inexpensive techniques and mechanisms to support or improve their health outside the existing medical infrastructure, if they are to receive aid and the society of this country is to have any chance of averting a medical, fiscal, and humanitarian crisis.

[4] Today, there are literally millions, if not tens of millions, of lightweight, wearable music/multimedia players being used by people every day. All these players support at least one audio output channel, and quite often two audio channels. Most of these players are capable of delivering enough volume to head phones that the music they play can be heard over the noise of trains, traffic, and the like. Their main benefit to people is that they permit individuals some control over what they hear. These devices have not been harnessed to improve people's health.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[5] The inventors believe the invention offers a substantial opportunity to at least partly avert the medical, fiscal and humanitarian crisis related to the aging baby boom, by using existing music/multimedia players with an embodiment of a wearable infrastructure to acoustically provide at last one symbol sequence to at least biologically active zone on a wrist of a user and to at least one ear and/or visually providing the symbol sequence to at least one eye of the user.

[6] Put another way, the invention includes three wearable infrastructure embodiments:

[7] A first embodiment acoustically provides a symbol sequence to the biologically active zone on at least one of the wrists and an acoustic symbol sequence to at least one of the ears of the user of the wearable infrastructure.

[8] In certain instances, the symbol sequence presented to the biologically active zone on the wrist may be the same as the acoustic symbol sequence.

[9] In other instances, they may be different but related, for instance by forming a constructive cycle of energies as documented in the book "Kiai Jitsu Sound Theory".

[10] A second embodiment acoustically provides the symbol sequence to the biologically active zone on at least one of the wrists and visually provides a visual symbol sequence to at least one of the eyes of the user of the wearable infrastructure.

[11] In certain instances, the symbol sequence presented to the biologically active zone on the wrist may be similar to the visual symbol sequence. An air element symbol sequence in the symbol sequence may correspond to an air element visual symbol and/or an air element movement sequence as found in the five healing exercises, which will be discussed in greater detail later.

[12] In other instances, they may be different but related, for instance by forming a constructive cycle of energies as documented in the book "Kiai Jitsu Sound Theory".

[13] And a third embodiment

[14] acoustically provides a symbol sequence to the biologically active zone on at least one of the wrists,

[15] an acoustic symbol sequence to at least one of the ears, and

[16] visually provides a visual symbol sequence to at least one of the eyes of the user of the wearable infrastructure.

[17] The third embodiments may further vary as follows:

[18] In certain instances, the symbol sequence presented to the biologically active zone on the wrist may be the same as the acoustic symbol sequence.

[19] In certain instances, the symbol sequence presented to the biologically active zone on the wrist may be similar to the visual symbol sequence. An air element symbol sequence in the symbol sequence may correspond to an air element visual symbol and/or an air element movement sequence as found in the five healing exercises, which will be discussed in greater detail later.

[20] In other instances, the symbol sequence and/or the acoustic symbol sequence and/or the visual symbol sequence may be different but related, for instance by forming a constructive cycle of energies as documented in the book "Kiai Jitsu Sound Theory".

[21] These embodiments provide an advantage over the wearable infrastructures of the patent application number 11/213,126 filed August 26, 2005 in that the symbol sequence presented at the biologically active zone of the wrist is reinforced through the synergy of the acoustic and/or visual sequences being concurrently provided to the ear(s) and/or the eye(s) of the user.

[22] The invention includes the symbol coding sequence as a program system comprising program steps residing in a memory accessibly coupled to a computer within the music/multimedia player, directing the music/multimedia player to deliver the symbol sequence to at least one of the possibly multiple transponders. The program steps are often coded in an intermediate language interpreted by the computer. Typical implementations of the intermediate language include the MPEG 1 Layer 3 audio coding scheme, often known as MP3, versions of the Windows Media File format, versions of MPEG 4, and so on, to cite some examples.

[23] The delivery of the symbol sequence to the at least one transponder may include at least one wire line physical transport and/or at least one wireless physical transport. The wire line physical transport may use commonly available headphones coupled by wires to a headphone jack, with the headphones acting as the transponders. Alternatively, the transponder(s) may couple with the music/multimedia player through a wireless physical transport, which may support a version of a wireless communications protocol. By way of example, the wireless communications protocol may implement a version of the Bluetooth communications protocol standard.

[24] The wearable infrastructure couples with at least one transponder to provide at least one symbol sequence to the at least one biologically active zone, where the wearable infrastructure keeps the transponder near the biologically active zone on a user wearing the wearable infrastructure. The transponder provides the symbol sequence to the biologically active zone through an acoustic carrier medium as sound to the user, who is a human being.

[25] The symbol sequence includes a succession of at least two, and preferably at least three symbols. This provides the signal, which is modulated for the carrier medium and provided at the biologically active zone. The symbols are formed of the spoken letters of Song Park's meta-alphabet.

[26] The wearable infrastructure preferably includes at least one of the following wearable infrastructure components: a wrist harness similar to a bracelet or wrist band, a forearm harness similar to a forearm wrap or binding, and an arm harness similar to an arm band.

[27] In general, the biologically active zone includes at least one of the following. At least one point and/or meridian as defined in acupuncture, acupressure and/or Shiatsu. The minimal scope of these meridians are defined in Chapter Four, "The Meridians: ..." pages 77 to 114, in The Web That Has No Weaver: Understanding Chinese Medicine, by Ted Kaptchuk © 1983, ISBN 0-8092-2933-1. A reflexology correspondence point. A pressure point as used in Karate, Tai Chi and Tai Kwan Do. The regions and points named and used in Tibetan medicine, as shown in Tibetan Medical Paintings: Illustrations to the Blue Beryl treatise of Sangye Gyamtso (16531705), © 1992 Serinda Publications, ISBN 0- 8109-3861-8, two volumes. The regions and points named and used in Western Medicine, including but not limited to the named points and regions of the respiratory, muscular, arterial, fascial, and nervous system as shown in Gray's Anatomy.

[28] The wearable infrastructure may be the wrist harness, which may preferably stimulate the lung meridian. The wrist harness may further preferably stimulate the lung and heart meridian. It may further preferably stimulate the pericaredium and triple warmer meridians. The triple warmer meridian is also known as the triple burner meridian.

[29] The method of operating the invention includes the following steps. Keeping at least one transponder near at least one biologically active zone of a user wearing the transponder. Using the transponder to provide the symbol sequence to the biologically active zone of the user to alter the user. Keeping the transponder near the biologically active zone may further include keeping the transponder touching the biologically active zone at least some of the time, and in certain embodiments, all the time the invention is operating.

FIVE ELEMENTS

Five Elements and Mantric Sounds

There are Five Elements: Space, Air, Fire, Water, Earth. This order of elements is considered to be the order of creation, when reversed, it is the order of dissolution.

At first is the Space Element, a base for the manifestation of all the other elements as well as the source of them. It has a dark blue color and its own vibration described in Tibetan, and some other traditions, as the sound of the syllable "E" (sounds as "AE"). The Space Element resides in the Center of all.

Then there is movement as the Air Element comes into play. It has a green color and the vibration of the sound "YAM". It resides in the North.

Movement produces heat, thus giving birth to the Fire Element, which is red in color and has the sound "RAM". It resides in the West.

Condensation results from uneven heat and produces liquidity - Water, which is white in color and has the sound "BAM". It resides in the East.

Consolidation of liquid as a result of movement produces solidity and the Earth element, which is yellow in color and has the sound "LAM". It resides in the South.

These Five Elements are the base of all phenomena, and, in their original pure form, exist as vibration of the sound and the light of a particular color. Through interdependence they are manifest in many different ways internally and externally.

You can see these colors if you observe the sun when it moves across the sky. The white light of the dawn, the yellow of noon, the red of the sunset, the green color of the last sun ray and the dark blue of the night sky.

Inner and Outer Manifestation of Elements

Five External Elements

We can see these elements manifesting both outside and inside of our being. For example, externally Earth manifests as rocks and soil, Water as oceans, lakes and rivers, Fire as heat and flames of fire, Air as wind and the air we breathe and Space, as a structure and place for all other manifestations, like the sky.

Five Internal Elements

Internally Earth manifests as flesh and bones, Water as blood and liquid, Fire as heat and metabolism, Air as circulation, breathing and movement, Space as structure and shape and the body's orifices.

Excess, deficiency or disorder of one of the Five Elements can result in excess, deficiency or disorder of the corresponding function. For example if Fire is deficient, the body will feel

cold and the metabolism will run low. If Fire is excessive then the metabolism is too high and the body can have a fever, etc.

Five Elemental Functions

The five Elements have five functions: Space - the stability that creates structure, Air - expands and disperses, creating movement, Fire - activates, creating heat, Water - pacifies, calms and smoothes, producing softness and fluidity, Earth — concentrates to produce hardness and solidity.

Five Elemental Directions

The five functions of the Five Elements manifest in five directional movements: Space - forward and backward, Air - outward, Fire - upward, Water - downward, Earth — inward.

This is used in Kiai Jitsu to coordinate breathing, sound projection and movement. Each direction has a specific vibration and sound that is presented in the following chapters.

Five Elements of the Limbs (Fig. 1)

The head is related to the Heart and the Space element. The right leg is related to the Lungs and the Air element. The right arm is related to the Liver and the Fire element. The left leg is related to the Kidneys and the Water element. The left arm is related to the Spleen and the Earth element.

Imbalance or disorder of one of the Five Elements can manifest as a pain or dysfunction of the corresponding limb. For example, if the Element of Fire is unbalanced and affects the Liver (Fire), it can incapacitate or weaken the right arm (Fire) and cause malfunction and pain. Massaging or moving the right arm can help to alleviate a Fire disorder.

Five Elemental Shapes (Fig. 2)

The Five Elements also have characteristic symbolic shapes. These shapes can be used as elements of design, or meditative focus, to strengthen, balance or harmonize, the corresponding elements, which can be represented on cloth, buildings, or jewelry, etc. For example, a red triangle represents Fire and is used to increase the Fire Element or activities related to it.

Space has an oval or drop-like shape and takes the central position, Air - a semicircle - resides in the North, Fire - a triangle - resides in the West, Water - a circle - resides in the East, Earth - a square - resides in the South.

FIVE ENERGIES

There are Five Energies: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. They represent a grosser level of energy than the Elements.

Creative Cycle (Fig. 3)

This sequence is the base of the creation cycle: Wood burns producing Fire. The ash that remains after Fire exemplifies Earth, which is produced by Fire. Minerals that are produced by Earth are an example of Metal. Metal is a source of Water, condensation or melting. Water promotes the growth of trees as the Wood element. So the creative cycle is: Wood - Fire - Earth - Metal - Water.

Destructive Cycle (Fig. 4)

There is also a destructive, or controlling, cycle: Wood - Earth - Water - Fire - Metal. For example: Metal cuts Wood, Wood destroys Earth (like the roots of a tree), Earth can absorb Water, Water puts out Fire, and Fire can burn or melt Metal.

These cycles are used extensively in oriental medicine in order to understand natural processes, as well as to diagnose and treat conditions of health in both human beings and in the natural environment. Interdependence and Interrelationship of the Five Energies. (Fig. 5)

All phenomena are interdependent. This applies to the Five Energies and is critical to understanding the oriental viewpoint of nature. The picture above shows the specific interrelationship of our inner organs. However, this can be applied to all other categories of the Five Energies.

Each of the Five Energies has a relationship to all the others in the following way. For example, if we analyze Wood Energy as a Self, then Water is the Mother - giving energy

to Wood, Fire is the Son - taking energy away from Wood, Metal is the Enemy - controlling and/or destroying Wood, Earth is the Friend - stimulating Wood and controlled by Wood Energy.

If Fire Energy is a Self, then Wood is the Mother - giving energy to Fire, Earth is the Son - taking energy away from Fire, Water is the Enemy - controlling and/or destroying Fire, Metal is the Friend - stimulating Fire and controlled by Fire Energy.

If Earth Energy is a Self, then Fire is the Mother - giving energy to Earth, Metal is the Son - taking energy away from Earth, Wood is the Enemy — controlling and/or destroying Earth, Water is the Friend - stimulating Earth and controlled by Earth Energy.

If Metal Energy is a Self, then Earth is the Mother - giving energy to Metal, Water is the Son - taking energy away from Metal, Fire is the Enemy - controlling and/or destroying Metal, Wood is the Friend - stimulating Metal and controlled by Metal Energy.

If Water Energy is a Self, then Metal is the Mother - giving energy to Water, Wood is the Son - taking energy away from Water, Earth is the Enemy - controlling and/or destroying Water, Fire is the Friend - stimulating Water and controlled by Water Energy.

The interrelationships of the Five Energies are summarized in the table below.

Five Emotions and Five Psychic Components

The Five Energies also pervade the more subtle levels of our being, such as the emotions and psyche, Chinese medicine distinguishes the following five emotions and five components of the psyche.

Five Emotions (Fig. 6)

The Five emotions: Wood - anger, frustration, Fire - joy, anxiety, Earth - worry, pensiveness, Metal - sadness, grief, Water - fear, panic.

If a person has a tendency to be overcome or stuck with one of these emotions, it indicates imbalance, excess or deficiency of the related Energy. As a result it can ill-affect the inner organ. Vice versa an imbalance, deficiency or excess of an inner organ, can provoke an emotional weakness or distress. The impression of each emotion is placed in colored field corresponding to that Energy.
