Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for recovering an unreacted monomer and, more specifically, to a method for recovering an unreacted monomer, in which economic efficiency is increased by efficiently increasing the recovery rate of an unreacted monomer. The method for recovering an unreacted monomer, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: (S1) supplying an exhaust gas discharged from a reactor and an absorbent to an absorption unit, and absorbing an unreacted monomer into the absorbent; (S2) transferring, to a heat exchange unit, the absorbent into which the unreacted monomer has been absorbed and heating same; (S3) supplying the heated absorbent and a heating medium to a stripping unit, and stripping and recovering the unreacted monomer from the absorbent; (S4) transferring, to the heat exchange unit, the absorbent from which the unreacted monomer has been stripped and cooling same; and (S5) resupplying the cooled absorbent to the absorption unit.
