Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for registering a wireless access device, comprising: when receiving a registration request, including an authorized first device International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) and sent from the wireless access device, comparing, by a server, the authorized first device IMEI with a pre-stored authorized second device IMEI, wherein the authorized first device IMEI is allocated by the server and recorded in the wireless access device, and the authorized second device IMEI is an authorized device IMEI having been allocated by the server; upon a successful match, connecting, by the server, the wireless access device with a user corresponding to the matching authorized second device IMEI, to complete a registration of the wireless access device. Further disclosed is an apparatus for registering a wireless access device. The disclosed method and apparatus for registering the wireless access device can improve registration efficiency of the wireless access device.
