Abstract:
The embodiments of the present application belong to the technical field of rendering. Disclosed are a method and apparatus for rendering a virtual scene, and a device and a storage medium. The method comprises: at a geometry rendering stage, performing geometry rendering on a virtual scene, so as to obtain a geometry rendering result (201); writing the geometry rendering result into an on-chip memory, wherein the on-chip memory is a memory arranged in a GPU, and the geometry rendering result is not written into a main memory (202); at an illumination rendering stage, reading the geometry rendering result from the on-chip memory on the basis of an expanded characteristic, wherein the expanded characteristic is used for expanding the manners in which the GPU reads data from the on-chip memory (203); performing illumination rendering on the basis of light source information and the geometry rendering result, so as to obtain an illumination rendering result (204); and writing the illumination rendering result into the on-chip memory (205). By using the solution provided in the embodiments of the present application, during a rendering process, it is not necessary to store a geometry rendering result in a main memory any more, thereby reducing the bandwidth consumption.
