Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for processing data units by a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) entity of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. In particular, the method includes the steps of: starting a timer for a PDCP service data unit (SDU) based on receiving the PDCP SDU from an upper layer; transmitting the PDCP SDU to a first peer PDCP entity while the timer is running; triggering retransmission of the PDCP SDU to the first peer PDCP entity or a second peer PDCP entity; and performing the retransmission of the PDCP SDU based on a remaining time before expiration of the timer being larger than a threshold value while the timer is running.
